Lots of contrasts. The "Bodies" figure is horizontal, the people above are vertical; the figure is unclothed and even flayed, while the people are barely visible within their clothes and rain gear; etc. Favorite contrast: those people, though living, seem to be wearing death shrouds (that white rain wrap), while the body, though dead, has a confident and jaunty pose drawn from life.posted by John Branch on April 18, 2007 8:57AM
The people in the rainwear first caught my attention and then I saw the BODIES billboard. Yikes! Those creepy ads were all over Manhattan when I lived in there and I trained myself to not see them. That show had already come and gone by the time I moved to London....thank god! Very cool picture though.posted by Stewart Wise on August 26, 2008 7:18PM
